Cory ‘The Hobbit’ McKenna and Elise Reed square off. McKenna has a lot of momentum behind her coming into this fight, she’s undefeated in the UFC, and only has 1 loss in her professional and amateur career. Her opponent, Elise Reed, is looking to recover from her first loss at the hands of Sjara Eubanks last July.
Cory McKenna vs Elise Reed Prediction

McKenna might be small, but she is strong. She bounces on her feet and primarily uses boxing. Most favourably, she likes to intercept her opponents with straight punches that catch them coming in. McKenna then likes to lock in the clinch and incorporate either some grappling or dirty boxing. She’s a brawler, but she has shown vulnerability to better grapplers, and is liable to having her legs chopped down with kicks.
Elise Reed proves to be a lot more stationary, and tends to lean back and swing wildly when an opponent enters her range. She’s considerably slower than McKenna, but looks to have the reach advantage. This shouldn’t matter, however, as McKenna prefers infighting. Reed was held down and thoroughly dominated by Sjara Eubanks in her UFC debut, and she may suffer the same fate against McKenna this weekend.
Cory McKenna is the better striker, grappler, and fighter. She should have all the tools necessary to give Elise Reed her second defeat.
