This was the case for 19-9-0 MMA (4-3-0-1NC UFC) veteran Robbie Peralta, who received a devastating knockout in the main event of BKFC Pechanga on July 12. His opponent, Ruben Warr, a 12-12-0 MMA veteran, flatlined Peralta six seconds into the opening round. Watch the finish below, courtesy of MMA Junkie on X:

As the two men came into range, Peralta tried to parry a jab, which Warr hadn’t thrown. With his right arm down by his waist after the parry, Peralta attempted a left hook, but Warr already made his read, clipping Peralta with his own left hook over the parrying arm. Warr quickly followed up with a cross down the pipe, which landed flush. Peralta spun round on the momentum of his swing and landed flat on his back, stiff as a board.
