The UFC’s first 2024 PPV is here, and although not the strongest card on paper, it has the potential to deliver some great moments. In the night’s headliner, brash-mouthed American Sean Strickland looks to make his first middleweight title defense against the ambitious South African Dricus Du Plessis. The two fighters have gotten heated in the buildup to this fight and the result is heavily anticipated.
Top-ranked women’s bantamweight fighters duke it out for the vacant strap in the co-main. It should be a scrappy fight to see who can take the throne after Amanda Nunes’ retirement. Also on the main card, Arnold Allen looks to defy the odds once more by handing Movsar Evloev his first loss – the Russian fighter hasn’t had a finish in the UFC yet and will be looking for exactly that against Allen.
The prelims, as ever, are chock to the brim with fights that should deliver spectacular finishes, with certain fan favorites such as Charles Jourdain and Gillian Robertson. Also flying under the radar is Garrett Armfield against Brad Katona as the featured prelim.
