He started training Muay Thai at seven and debuted professionally at 10. Now approaching 30, he is making a name for himself as one of the most violent and entertaining fighters in ONE Championship.

Has Rodtang Fought in MMA?

Rodtang has not officially fought in an MMA fight. The closest thing to it is his 2022 mixed rules fight with Demetrious Johnson, which alternated between Muay Thai and MMA rules between rounds.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated in 2023, Rodtang highlighted that he’d like to transition to MMA:

“I want to try everything. I want to compete in MMA,” Rodtang said. “The biggest challenge is every aspect that is not standing and striking. The techniques, defending, and attacking, I am relearning all those. That is the most difficult part of transitioning into MMA.”
